Beauty in Every Season

Sherri

Welcome to my page

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by. I'm Sherri, a mother, grandmother, pastor, and Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant with six years of skincare training. Let's talk one-on-one about what fits your skin.

Who I Am

I am a pastor. I am an evangelist. I am a beauty consultant. Most of all, I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother. My grandchildren call me Nana. I love that. I'm also known as Ma Pifer to all of my children's extended friends. I just love the fact that when people see me, they see somebody that they can trust. And I love being called Ma Pifer and Nana. I absolutely love it. The pastor, evangelist, and beauty consultant, that's what I do. But who I am is Ma Pifer and Nana.

"I make some pretty good beef barley soup."
"I will always tell my age, but don't ask me about my weight."

Beauty Begins in the Heart

Beauty begins in the heart when you can look at others as Jesus looks at them. When you can see the person for who they really are in Jesus and not see any of the emotional baggage that they may or may not carry, that's beauty. As it begins in your heart, you're able to not just look at other people, but you're able to forgive and have a greater understanding. And that only comes through Jesus in a change of heart.

The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.
— 1 Samuel 16:7

Pertaining to Skin Care

Whether you wear makeup or not, you have daily dust on your face. You've been touching your face. If you're a grandmother and you're holding a baby, the baby's been touching your face. If you're wearing makeup and you go to bed with that makeup on, it's not good for your skin. And before you know it, you start aging and wanting to know why. So the best advice I can give every woman is wash your face before you go to bed.

Joyful vs Happiness

I believe you can have joy in your heart rather you are happy or not. Let me explain . . . Joy comes from the relationship you have with the Lord. He is always with you and is faithful through every circumstance. You can count on Him in every season of your life.Happiness comes from your happenstance. It is the “happenings” of now. Not everything that happens in your life is happy. Therefore you cannot base your joy on the happenings of the day. You base the joy in your life on your relationship with Jesus.— Sherri

Let's Talk

I want you to feel comfortable. I want you to feel like the shopping aspect of Mary Kay can be a lot of fun. And as you're looking, I want you to know that you can ask me anything. I would love to help you with some information. I want you to be able to hear my story, see what I do, and know I'm that trustworthy person who's more interested in you than in making a sale.

For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.
— Psalm 139:13–14
